Pizza night doesn’t have to mean calling for delivery. Here in the Gracefully Momming kitchen, we’re turning Friday nights into a fun, healthier alternative with our Fakeout Pizza recipe! This is perfect for busy moms who want the comfort of a family favorite without the heavy ingredients or the delivery bill. And trust me, even the picky eaters will ask for seconds.
Ingredients:
-
2 large wraps (whole wheat or gluten-free options work great too!)
-
1/3 cup pizza sauce (or tomato puree with herbs)
-
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
Your favorite toppings: chopped peppers, mushrooms, baby spinach, cooked chicken, olives, etc.
-
Olive oil for brushing
Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
-
Place one wrap in an oven-safe skillet or on a baking tray.
-
Brush a light layer of olive oil on the base, then spread your sauce evenly.
-
Add your toppings and sprinkle cheese over the top.
-
Place the second wrap on top to create a thin crust base, or leave it open-faced if you prefer a crispier bite.
-
Bake for 8–10 minutes or until the edges are golden and the cheese is bubbling.
-
Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve with a fresh side salad or veggie sticks for balance.
Mom Tip: Let the kids pick their own toppings! It's a great way to get them involved and excited about dinner. Plus, they’re more likely to eat what they helped create.
Why We Love It:
-
Ready in under 20 minutes
-
Customisable for every eater in the house
-
Light but still cheesy and satisfying
-
Budget-friendly and fun
So there you have it – Friday night comfort without the carb crash or fast-food regret. Add this to your regular rotation and let it become a part of your family's memory-making moments.
