It’s made with pantry staples like deboned chicken, potatoes, frozen mixed veggies, and a splash of cream—and best of all, it’s picky-eater approved. ✨
🍽️ Ingredients:
500g deboned chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
1½ cups frozen mixed vegetables
1 cup pouring cream
½ cup grated cheese (optional, but encouraged!)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, finely chopped
Salt, pepper, and herbs of your choice
A dash of paprika
Olive oil or butter for frying
👩🍳 Method:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a pan, sauté the onion and garlic in a little olive oil or butter until soft.
Add the chicken, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and cook until just golden.
Layer your dish:
First, the sliced potatoes (season them lightly).
Next, the mixed vegetables.
Then, the cooked chicken.
Mix the pouring cream with a pinch of herbs, salt, and pepper, and pour it over everything.
Top with grated cheese if you’re using it.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbling.
💡 Mom Tip:
This dish reheats like a dream—perfect for leftovers, school lunchboxes, or freezing for a busy day.
🥄 Serving Suggestion:
Serve it just as it is, or pair with a fresh green salad or garlic bread. Either way, it’s warm, filling, and made with love.
